Hello and Happy Tuesday from sunny and milder North Texas.
Still recovering from an afternoon of fun on the links in Grand Prairie, Texas with friends at Tangle Ridge Golf Course.
Voted one of the Top 50 best municipal courses in Texas proper. Unlike my last visit to this great course, the clubs were newer, the grass was wetter, the wind was stronger, and the jury is still out on my short game. My thanks to Jesse Cancino and John Baree for the hospitality on President's Day.
Suffice to say precedence was set on President's Day here in Dallas when the Celtics came for a visit. Short of players and down one Rajon Rondo due to suspension, the Mavericks were able to capitalize on a team struggling on the road. Losers of 5 of 6.
In defeating the Beantowners by an 89-73 count some milestones were reached. Dirk Nowitzki with a two-fer as he surpassed Robert Parrish or 20th all time in scoring (23,354) and getting his 1,000th career block. Nowitzki now one of only three players to have 1,000 career blocks and 1,000 3 point shots. Rasheed Wallace and Clifford Robinson share that distinction. Nicely done.
Completing that trifecta was Jason Kidd. Jason reached #2 in career steals in the NBA. Truly a nice three-way to complete one day after the effects of dealing with the Linsanity of a New York mugging in Gotham City.
Now the Lakers are next on the horizon Wednesday night here at the AAC. 8 pm start centrally speaking. Kobe and his court will make a grand appearance. Should be a fun one.
Love the new clubs. Going to enjoy more trips to the driving range to figure out my weaknesses and strengths to my swing. Hello sunshine!
Make it a great day!
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
