The Return of Run TMC!

Happy Friday my friends.

30 years ago today the Royal wedding of Charles and Diana went down very early in the morning if you were on the West Coast. Remember how Diana Spencer had a pained look on her face? Seems the tiara she was wearing was a little too small for her head. Major headache that morning for her. Now you know!

I hope it has been a good week and a good month for you. July is going to end exactly as it began. Hot and hotter, with more triple digit heat forecast. I know the for many people it is a beating, namely for the elderly and the critters. Be sure to check up on your next door neighbors if elderly. I recall how this was a problem back in the summer of 1980. If we get past this tropical depression supposed to reach us tomorrow, 2011 will become the new 1980. Nuff sed!

Four years ago on a crazy night uptown met a gal who was full of life and full of joy. Life takes you places where you touch and go, and sometimes make a reappearance. Other cases it's a one time meeting and you take the lesson with you. In the case of Tanisha Chavez, my friend seems to have this ability to reappear at the most opportune time where sports are concerned.

Two years ago there was a Maverick run of playoffs that fell short. Run was on it and all over it. There's only one other passion that supersedes the basketball love, and that's the Cowboys. Since the drive to San Antonio is going to be a long one, especially for just one day, Run is going to tag along.

Suffice to say it os always helpful to have a person who can keep up with you conversationally for long road trips. It tends to keep the monotony away. Every person in life should have a friend in their life like Tanisha Marie Chavez. What's funnier is that I'll get to work, and she'll get to play since practice is free to the public at the Alamodome. 

It was 2003 when I last was able to partake and do the tour around the Riverwalk area. After Sunday the 31st I return for a day and a half on the 4th of August with the SportsAngel. This will mark her first training camp in San Antonio after 6 years doing the exact thing in Jacksonville for the Jaguars.

Have some interesting guests lined up in the weeks to come on the radio side of things. One of these guests will be huge if you like Big 12 football. Stay tuned!

Scale says 210, a drop of 35 pounds. I feel like a million yet have some ways to go before I go out and buy a whole new wardrobe.

Run herself has dropped weight like it's out of style. You go girl!
