A Small World With FB Help...

Hello and Happy Hump Day everyone.

I am a little tired in light of some funny happenings that occurred in the overnight hour. Here I was minding my own business when I get an instant message from a friend I know on Facebook. Its about 3 am and I am about ready to go to bed. 

Next thing I know I am talking to a young lady who is a producer sort of individual and we are talking sports of all sorts. It appears we know a few similar people and I am told to take down a number. I do so despite the need for slumber this body is going to require when the time comes.

One of the great things about radio/tv/media is the dynamic that everybody seems to know everybody. Much like the fraternity of people who work in the restaurant industry. Amazing to me how knowing someone brings so many people together.

It was about 25 minutes in when I realized I was talking to a baseball fan, and a knowledgeable one at that! Not being one to normally call up someone on a whim, It was like an epiphany to connect with someone over a commonality of a given sport.

My thanks to Miss Amy for the introduction and for the heads up on happenings of the moment. Something tells me I am about to make friendly with a fellow New Jerseyan. One thing at a time, however.

2011 merely 25% over and done. Many magical moments have fallen upon my lap. I just want to enjoy every aspect of it.

More surprises en route, my friends. Looks like I WILL be at Opening Day, but not as a fan...
