    Eyeing The Front Line...

    Happy Thursday Everybody.

The anticipation now builds and the adrenaline also goes a notch higher. Many people, myself included, are wondering whether or not the extra day off will help or hurt the Texas Rangers. Game 6 mere hours away and the very same cold front that shot through St. Louis late yesterday now does the same here in North Texas.

Now closing in on eleven years here in the Southwest, you know when a change is coming. It began at about midnight as I was halfway through my evening walk. Looking skyward and seeing that line of clouds. The big puffy kind that slowly make their way to you and just look menacing. Aided by a shift in wind direction is a pretty safe warning. The mercury was in the upper 60's.

This morning that high was at about 48. Better than half of what we in North Texas experienced all summer long. Even a little chilly for my blood.

Today is the kind of day people in the restaurant industry live for. Cloudy cool weather is your best friend when trying to attract the people away from patios and outdoor dining. A big to do here in Dallas...

My guess is that there will be alot of butterflies in the proverbial gut of Colby Lewis and Jaime Garcia when tonight begins. The Rangers absolutely need to shut it down tonight or face the possibility of losing all momentum from Games 4 and 5.

Again, in a really good series you have the dynamics of a classic heavyweight fight as two boxers exchange punch for jab and cross. You'll never know which hit provides the most sting.

A reminder also that this Friday at the Aloft Hotel I will be alongside the DFW SportsAngel, Glenn Pakulak, Sol Tucker, and another classic Halloween affair called 'Dallas Candy Land Halloween'. All proceeds will benefit the Tiger Lily Foundation. A great cause to defeat the c word called cancer...

If baseball isn't your thing the Dallas Stars host a home game with the L.A. Kings. I believe four times now when the Rangers and Stars have played this post season on the same day, the overall record is 8-0. 10-0 would suit me just fine after tonight.

Dress warmly, you don't want to get sick before the holidays. No warmup locally until early Sunday here in North Texas.

    Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
