Down the Stretch: Week 12 Picks and Pans
Happy Sunday my friends.
I hope your holiday weekend has treated you and yours well. It has been a fun month and an interesting year. Slightly miffed that I was one point short of perfection on Thanskgiving Day. Leave it to the Super Bowl champions to let me down.
Leave it to Roy Williams to exhibit the perfect trifecta of loserville. An ex-Lion and Longhorn. Both teams who were soundly thumped Thursday while the Cowboys came oh so close. Equal kudos to the Saints fans for knowing how to make noise at an event.
2-1 Turkey Day against the spread (83-71-5 YTD) with the rest of the teams battling today. The game that will draw the most discussion will happen when the Colts and Chargers meet up on NBC later tonight. If I were to pick a possible letdown game how about the Buffalo Bills hosting the pick of many to win the AFC-The Steelers? Keep an eye on that game, especially if you have any lake-effect weather.
Today in the NFL I like: Washington (-1), Buffalo (+6) to possibly upset, Cleveland (-10.5), Houston (-6.5), Giants (-9.5), Atlanta (pick-em), Seattle (pick-em), Oakland (-2), Baltimore (-9.5), Chicago (+3.5), Denver (-4), San Diego (+2.5), and San Francisco (pick-em) in the Monday Nighter.
Cigar time and an afternoon of relaxation after a busy week. A warm windy and stormy 72 degree day awaits me. Like the old saying, 'Don't like Texas weather? Just wait a day!' Oh so true :)
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
