Sure sign of Fall.

Today was the start of the final quarter of 2009. The first three quarters sure flew by! One sure sign that Autumn is upon us is the manner in which we will see a weather pattern change and emerge in one fell swoop.
At noon today the drizzles stopped and the mercury topped 86 degrees in North Texas. I saw on the news where there were possibilities for some stormy weather later this day. I didn't believe it.

Sure enough at 6 pm, after a non-existent work day, I happened to have my camera with me. I looked up and saw what was happening, and about to happen. Click-click-click went the camera. No sooner do I get into my car the rains begin to pelt me in Las Colinas. Now it was a race to get home ahead of the fast moving storm.
You know that look that you get when you do something wrong from a parent or a loved one? That's what clouds look like when they get dark and ominous in Texas. Even lawyers have to look away...I don't mind rain. It's the hail I can do without...
23 minutes later I managed to watch the clouds dissipate and disappear into more sunshine. By 7:45 pm all was okay again in North Texas. A much cooler 74 degrees. Nice!
Time for a walk!
Over and out in Big D

P.S.
On a day when the Rockies celebrate a playoff spot, the weather fit nicely as the NHL starts their season tonight in Boston, Colorado, and Toronto...Stars on Saturday!
