Zen Mastery After 19.
North Texas welcomes an old friend back: The Sun! Last week it was the weatherman saying watch for snow flurries and the like. Overblown. This week it was a chance of sprinkles. Undercalled. Friday night into Saturday some of the heaviest rains these parts have seen since July drenched Big D to the point of flood warnings. We needed it so that's that...
The Olympics wind down and I regret that my interest has waned since both the U.S. and Canada got knocked out of hockey in the quarterfinals. Pshaw!
One thing that continues to keep my interest: The way the Dallas Mavericks keep coming back! Opening night they return from a 17 point deficit, two weeks ago they almost blow a 30 point lead, Thursday they recover from a 19 point trail, and yesterday were down 24 before hitting 6 treys in the final period to force OT and win over the Raptors 115-113! That was the second largest amount of points on franchise history the Mavs have overcome! Wow! Each night a different player, each night a story of victory. I pray it continues. Philly in town Monday night! Go Mavs!
Special thanks to the staff at Zen bar Friday. I had a great time while a friend enjoyed a raucous birthday. If you've never been, Zen is located kitty corner from Addison Circle. Friendly staff and great atmosphere!
Off to work. Y'all know where to find me...
Over and out in Big D
