The Minor Three-Fer Madness....Smokin'!
There's a Texas tradition that's been going on since the beginning of time in the minors. If a home player hits a home run a boot is passed around and monies are donated for the effort. Monies collected go to the player for his family and partly to charity. It's a time honored tradition much like the offerings at Sunday service. Three times the boot would get passed courtesy of one player. First baseman Chris McGuiness.
