    The Minor Three-Fer Madness....Smokin'!

    There's a Texas tradition that's been going on since the beginning of time in the minors. If a home player hits a home run a boot is passed around and monies are donated for the effort. Monies collected go to the player for his family and partly to charity. It's a time honored tradition much like the offerings at Sunday service. Three times the boot would get passed courtesy of one player. First baseman Chris McGuiness.

    Hail To The King!

    I thought back to all those years Michael Jordan and Walter Payton lacked a supporting cast before management acquired what was necessary to create a championship team. The rest is history. Even deep down among Cavalier fans, my sense is that had Dan Gilbert tried to acquire pieces to help LeBron and Cleveland end almost 60 years of futility James might have stayed.

    (RAD)ical Change For The Better!

    This Sunday night the Mets will host the Yankees on the last day of interleague play. Ranger fans will no doubt check and see if Dickey can equal, exceed, and surpass a Sunday night from eight years ago and continue his mastery over the league. Better yet just to defeat the Yankees will make the loyalists to Arlington very happy.

    One Flipped Birdie!

    Jason Dufner had a rotten week with his putting. He could be asking the same thing! Graeme McDowell was in the hunt but came up short in the end. Did anyone anticipate Tiger Woods having a meltdown the first 6 holes to immediately provide incentive to not watch? I certainly didn't.

    Fathers Day Ponderings...

    There's certainly no need to rehash what happened or what could have been prevented. An incident that divided a country and changed the way we view news today. That and of course what 95 millions of us were watching 18 years today as an NBA Final Game was playing in New York. The age of TMZ was being birthed and we didn't know it. That day with O.J. and A.C. was beyond eerie, and plain papparazzi crazy...
