    New York on the Brain!

    This is not what the networks wanted, to be sure. This certainly could have turned alot more ugly in the end. All week long I stated to anyone who would hear me that they should not be surprised if the New York Giants do the unthinkable and win their playoff game. More on that in a moment.

    Double Dippage and Underdressed.

    After a ten day break from home cooking, that would change this day as the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks resumed their schedules this day at the AAC. First up were the Columbus Blue Jackets making the first of two meetings in three days here.

    Honoring the Steel Curtain.

    Staying in Pittsburgh, more sad news to report this day. Ernie Holmes, number 63 in the Steeler defense of the 70's alongside 'Mad Dog' Dwight White, L.C. Greenwood, and 'Mean' Joe Greene passed away in a car crash here in Texas. He was 64. I recall Ernie preferred to let his game do the talking.

    One Giant Leap...

    No one is giving the Giants any kind of chance to win on Sunday after two road victories in Tampa and Dallas, that's fine. This reminds me of when the Vikings were doing the unthinkable as a road lizard until they met their match in Washington DC this day in 1988.

    Sometimes a refresher course is always in order for those who are the worst in the A.D.D department, which now could amount to everybody. This is never more prevalent than now, especially at lunch hour where there's a time limit and service is to be of the utmost.
