    Taking the Helm: The Rookie Realm!

    When the Rangers were embarrassed in Oakland last week losing three of four, they bounced right back to win four of six in Anaheim and Cleveland! Five times fans and the media have tried to write off this team. Five teams they had to eat crow. So for the last time, I am telling you: The Rangers are in it to win it! I'll happily take the wild-card.

    Hendu's Return...Sort of.

    A 4-2 lead at the Ballpark in Arlington tonight against the Red Sox looked like a sure thing, right? We have seen how the relief has performed for the Rangers all season. We're speaking about the Rangers in August for just the second time in ten years. Didn't we just sweep the Nation one month ago? Kevin Youklis suspended and no Josh Beckett this series. This should be a slam dunk, right? Wrong!

    Boredom by the Bay

    This night would feature the start of the exhibition season separate from the Hall Of Fame Game in Canton. The first game is one where you may pay your starters for a full quarter, maybe a little more. Second-stringers and fringe players whom coaches believe have a shot to make a team get a real looking over.

    Temptation and (Hopefully) Redemption.

    34 days away from reaching the 12 year mark since I had my last drink, this hits very close. On more than one occasion the question has been posed what one thing (or one trigger0 could cause me to have a relapse. Having given this much thought the answers that recur are 1. a woman spurned 2. the death of a loved one or 3. perhaps a moment where I get 'comfortable' and think I can 'just do one'.
