Happy Sunday from the golf mecca of North Texas, Las Colinas!

By all reports and observations, the crowds at this years Byron Nelson were more sparse compared to tournaments past. Blame the weather, blame the economy, or just blame the holiday. Way too many things to decide on coupled with rapidly rising gas prices. What I can't figure out is why those who are here are drinking like fish? That's what I dont get!

It has been very gratifying to see the number of golfers wearing pink in honor or Amy Mickelson and to raise cancer awareness. John Daly went so far as to wear pink pants. That caused alot pf good press. I noticed how Rory Sabbatini wore a pink tie atop his cap. That also garnered alot of attention. in a week where the scores were low and the greens were unbelievably fast.

Yesterday was a funny. relaxing and memorable afternoon with all the talent that passed these eyes. Many a high heeled gal walked the grounds of the course. I also ran into quite a few friends I havent seen since the last Byron Nelson. There were a small percentage of people who had no business drinking under any circumstance. Some people will never learn. Oh well...Still got some outstanding pictures.

This day in 1963 there were two people who had known one another for a little less than two years. On this day in 1963 these two people decided to keep two other people from being miserable by taking the wedding vow. 46 years later these two individuals are still married and very much still in love. These two people I owe everything. They provided great rules for life, and great tools for living. Happy anniversary Mom and Dad! Thanks for everything you have ever done on my behalf. I love you and may you stay married another 45 years. You two never cease to amaze me...

Scott Feldman gets his third win while going over six innings. Nelson Cruz hits 2 more homers, totaling three in less than hours, and the Rangers roll in Houston 6-3. Michael Young and Ian Kinsler both sat while Hank Blalock played first base. C J Wilson got another save. Rangers will try to sweep the Astros with Brandon McCarthy on Sunday. A win will mean a .500 roadtrip. That woks well for me as Texas looks ahead to a homestand with the Yankees and Athletics. I'll be happy with a 5-2 homestand.

Time for dogsitting!

Over and out in Big D
