For the fourth year in a row the great sate of Texas gets to represent in the All-Star game! 2003 it was Hank Blalock at US Cellular with a bomb for a 7-6 win. 2004 Alfonso Soriano takes a 'rocket' for a ride. Last year Mark Teixeira hits his first homer of the year as a righty in Philly. Tonight Michael Young, Mr. Consistency, the ultimate 'team player', on an 0-2 count, lines a two-ruin triple with the American League ONE STRIKE AWAY from their first defeat in the Mid-Summer Classic since 1995! CLUTCH!

Two weeks ago the Rangers and Padres met one another. Suffice to say Michael knew to guess changeup and roll with it. Michael earlier in the week said, "If there was ever a contest for going to right field or lining into the gap, he would be the man." You proved yourself, Michael! You proved it as a second baseman of all ironies. A.L. 3 N.L. 2 in a fast paced 2 hour 33 minute affair. This was fun. Wondering who'a smiling more, Leyland, Guillen, or Francona? I'm an American League fan so no matter...

Over and out in Big D
