The power play was the enemy of the Dallas Stars as Mike Ribeiro would find paydirt twice in period one for Montreal and Alex Kovalev would do the same early in the second period. Stars fans may have been spoiled the last few wins via the comeback.
To ask of that each time you play is insane and not reasonable. Bill Guerin and Antti Miettenen provided Dallas' points in a 4-2 defeat. Curiously, Jose Theodore stops 37 of 38 shots and doesn't get one of the three stars of the game.
Coming in, Montreal was number three in power play goals and the Stars were number three in penalty kills. Seven of the next eight games are at home. Beginning Wednesday with Atlanta.
