Barbara and I are hard at work planning for Mom and Dad's visit to Texas from California. With so much to handle for travel itinerary the week they are here, a little pre Santa joy being sent your way from Dallas Texas. Enjoy!

Twas the week before Mom and Dad's arrival.

And all through my brain

Thoughts of laughter and love and survival

To the point of feeling insane.

The corner of the room loaded with presents

Already I hear Mom harping on my decadence

Sister Barb and hubby Tim get to play host

When it comes to cool family

These two are the most

Still I wonder, 'What, at X-mas is bigger?'

Yes I'll housesit and look after dog Tigger

From the west a light arises and warmth I feel

You can't convince me St Nick ain't real

Within you and within me the blessing has come

Be sure to be thankful for all you have done

Ten days the madness shall cease

Anticipation on a New Year shall increase

Soon to be bowled over to hold court

Then the big day-January 4th!

Of course most of the U.S. shall be frozen

Except for that section of land in the west

That bleeds Reggie Bush Trojan

A Rose by any other name

Can never EVER be the same

Happy Holidays and good cheer

Poor Texas won't win this game

As Longhorns now fear....

Over and out in Big D
